The foundation

MICROingranaggi is founded as a family owned business, primarily producing gears for watchmaking and instrumentation.

1980

The first automatic machines

The first automatic machines are installed to upgrade the production department.

1996

New headquarters

The company moves to a new factory; setting up of turning and assembly departments.

1997

Robotic loading system

The campaign to invest in CNC hobbing machines with a robotic loading system is launched.

2002

The metrology room

The company moves to its current location in Buccinasco and sets up a metrology room. Two gearbox production lines are installed and the Research & Development department is opened.

2006

3D modeling

The production department is upgraded with three new CNC machines. By adopting Pro/ENGINEER, top quality 3D modelling is fully implemented.

2009

Upgrade of metrology room

The metrology room is upgraded with a 5-axis CNC evolventimeter. Measurement activities on behalf of third parties are started.

2011

ISO 9001 certification

MICROingranaggi becomes an ISO9001-2008 n. 5589/0 certified company. Expansion of the technical department and investments in new machines: a 9-axis gear hobbing machine for high production volumes and an automatic washing plant.

2013

Extension of another 1,200 sqm

Extension of Buccinasco plant with a 800 sqm covered area and a 300 sqm outdoor area. New machines are installed: another 9-axis CNC gear hobbing machines; a 5-axis CNC universal sharpening machine; a ZEISS Contura CNC measuring machine. Product traceability by laser marking is implemented.

2015

New upgrade of the machinery park

The company invests in a DMG MORI NTX1000 11-axis machining center; two Koepfer 160 CNC gear hobbing machine with loading system and CAM software Esprit.

2016

New gear hobbing machines

Investments in technology continue: two 2 Koepfer 160 CNC gear hobbing machines with loading system.

2018

Certification and new investments

The company obtains the ISO9001/2015 certification and invests in a new Koepfer HLC 150 H gear hobbing machine and in a new Schaublin 225 TMI CNC lathe.

2019

Industry 4.0 project

Start of the Industry 4.0 project. In the same year: implementation of a MES system and new investments in machinery: a Biglia 438-Y2 lathe; a Klingelnberg P26 evolventimeter; two Modula automatic warehouses and O-inspect, the optical measuring machine from Zeiss.

2021

New investments underway

New investments are underway: another Modula automatic warehouse; a new IFP washing plant, two Monnier & Zahner gear hobbing machines; a Star SR32 lathe and a Miyano lathe.
